First of all…

About me

I am a young French Canadian of 20 years old who always knew she was born to travel.  I am currently studying in Laval University (Quebec city, Canada) to become a French teacher for people learning it as a second language. As you probably have already guessed, I chose this professional option to have the opportunity to keep travelling for as long as I want to. I am also  studying anthropology by online courses. I have always been very curious about this field of social sciences so when I realized it was possible for me to get a university degree in such a domain while not being stuck in one place, I instantly knew it was for me! When I was thirteen years old, I remember telling to myself: « Your place is out there and soon you will be able to make your everyday life look like what you are expecting of it. » The first time I got away alone for a couple of months has been when I was 15-16 years old. I went for a linguistic exchange with a student of my age in the western part of Canada. This experience has been horrible but it didn’t kill my “exploring fever”. Since that, I have worked, backpacked, hitchhiked and road-tripped in most parts of Canada, United States and Mexico. I speak fluent French, English, Spanish and I am looking forward to learn Arabic in the next years. I am currently  on a four-month backpacking and volunteering trip in Central America. The one-third of year travelling deal is the best I can do for now since I’m still studying… I find consolation with the « quality is better than quantity » thing.

About the blog

This blog is the way I chose to share both my own experiences and general opportunities people would like to know about. I am starting small but I have a sort of ambition to develop this website as my travelling experience will grow. Some people might say I’m not enough experienced to write such a blog with travelling chronicles, but I think everyone has to start somewhere! Considering that I’m only twenty years old and that the travelling bug bit me really hard on my birth day, I have no worries about the best being to come. I hope this blog will be helpful and interesting for people sharing the same passion or the same professional goals. Don’t be shy to leave comments, wich are deeply appreciated!
