May 9th Guacamole

Two days ago, I thought it would be nice to make some guacamole for dinner, considering I didn’t really want to cook on such a hot day (with about 50 celsius). I went to the market to buy an avocado and an onion (oh and those fresh tortillas still warm when you buy them). Everything was going right until I decided to incorporate in my guacamole new ingredients not dedicated to be mixed with the original stuff. May be you noticed that my avocado is pretty big. It is actually the biggest one I have seen in my life, but perhaps it’s just me…

So here is the recipe, approved by a real Nicaraguan (who actually said « Weird but good », free translation). She ate everything, even if the tortillas ran out, so I guess it wasn’t that bad…

Ingredients:

1 enormous avocado or two regular ones

Half of a small onion, chopped

2 mini-bananas

4 tbsp of basil, chopped

The juice of 2 limes

Salt (as you like)

—*–

Mash the banana and the avocado together with a fork and mix it with all of the other ingredients.

Makes about 4 meals (when it’s really hot out there though) eaten with 3 tortillas. Can also be eaten with corn chips.

Flexible recipe. Add what you like, take off what you dislike. And post a comment to tell me how you did it!

Enjoy!
